We walked to Dog Beach late yesterday afternoon. There was no one around apart from a solitary walker making their way along the Heysen Trail. The solid, early morning cloud cover had broken up during the day, and there were intermittent patches of cloud and sunshine as I was making a photo for the 1picaday2014 project.
This cloud formation came up across the land as we—Ari, Raffi and myself— were walking along the cliff top path back to the car:
I kept on thinking how clouds and landscape would make a good subject for the Fleurieu Four Seasons Prize for landscape photography competition. But you have to be there to photograph the formations and you don’t know when they will happen. I see so many because I’m walking along the cliffs in the early morning and late afternoon each day that I’m at Victor Harbor.
