at Venus Bay, Eyre Peninsula

We finally made it to Venus Bay on the Eyre Peninsula to discover that winter has gone and spring has arrived.

It has been warm, bright and sunny. Our early morning walks are around the point, which has the bay on one side and the southern ocean–the Great Australian Bight—on the other.

The photography, by necessity, is done early in the morning and very late in the afternoon, when the glare from the sun has lessened to the point where the light/dark contrasts are softened.
