Raffi is now confident enough to venture beyond the small protected areas to do off lead walks in the Adelaide parklands. So we’ve started to walk to, and around, south western corner of the parklands known as PARK 21w or Minno Wirra. It is a dog off leash area.
This area used to be a barren, empty space a decade ago with just some sportfields for amateur athletes. Since then sections of it have been extensively replanted— these are slowly being changed back into bushland with scrub, wattles, eucalypts, old logs and grasses. The wattles dominate.
